Anthony Brian Heyns – President

Mr. Heyns (Deaf) has been involved in Deaf sport at a leadership level since 1974. His sport involvement profile include:

1. 1974 – 1980: Chairperson, Northern Transvaal Deaf Badminton Association;
2. 1974 – 1997: Executive Committee member, South African Deaf Sports Federation (SADSF);
3. 1981 – 1990: Chairperson, Western Province Deaf Sports Association;
4. 1986 – 1994: Chairperson, South African Deaf Golf Association;
5. 2000 – 2006: President, World Deaf Golf Federation;
6. 1997 – Currently: President, SADSF;
7. 2001 – 2006: Vice President, Disability Sport South Africa (DISSA);
8. 2006 – Currently: Disability Sport Commission member, South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC)
